That would also be a 3 percenty dropin first-time homebuyers from 2008 while national salesx had 53 percent first-timer homebuyers. The deal also includesz a long-term supply agreement between the two companiesz and the eventual acquisition of Sachxs Giesserei byMetal Technologies. The deal will add aluminumk castings toMetal Technologies' product lines and fits with the company'z strategy to expand its global suppl business, said Rick chairman and chief executive officerd of Metal Technologies. Jamez said aluminum castings represent the fastest growinyg part ofthe industry. Metal Technologiez operates five iron foundriees inWest Allis; Ravenna, Mich.; Thred Rivers, Mich.
; and Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. It has two foundriesx in West Allis -- West Allis Gray Iron and West AlliaDuctile Iron. The foundries were acquirex from Wauwatosa-based small engine manufacturer Briggs Stratton Corp. in 1997 and 1999. The company also operatees some business operations at the West Alli s Corporate Center at851 S. 70th St.
